De Uitkijk Marina | Seijsener Projects

On the picturesque Oud-Loosdrechtsedijk, in the heart of Oud-Loosdrecht, right on the 1st lake, lies De Uitkijk — a popular port with around 200 berths, residential parks and facilities such as sailing, sup and wakeboarding school and the recreational homes that are still to be built.

In the spring of 2025, Seijsener carried out an extensive project for Willem Hendrik van de Wetering and Maartje Taminiau in which the technical infrastructure of the port and the residential parks was completely modernized. What started as a challenge led to a result that the port, residents and owners can be proud of.

What did we do

Under the guidance of project manager Jeffrey Wals and work planner Dennis Dooper, the following innovation was realized:

  • Electrical installation: the entire electrical infrastructure has been replaced, both for the marina itself and for the residential parks. This includes new cabling, distribution boxes and connection points.
  • Three-phase connection/electrification of residential parks: the residential parks are equipped with a three-phase connection, so that full electrification is possible. In cases where people (still) want to use natural gas, a new natural gas installation has also been supplied. But the starting point is modern, safe, future-proof facilities.
  • Drinking water installation: renewal of drinking water supplies for both permanent berths and residential parks, with attention to hygiene, water pressure and reliability.
  • Lighting: all lighting has been updated — public lighting and scaffolding lighting. This not only increases the experience, but also the safety in the port.
  • Sewer & frost-proof water for residential parks: the sewer system has been completely reconstructed with pre-insulated pipes that are connected by mirror welding. The water pipes for the residential parks are also frost-free to prevent problems in the winter.

The impact

  • The improved electrical installation provides reliable power for boats, residential parks and port facilities, with space to expand to fully electric living.
  • Comfort and safety have increased significantly due to new lighting and frost-proof water pipes.
  • The drinking water supply is robust and meets modern requirements, which residents and berth holders appreciably appreciate.
  • The sewer facility prevents inconvenience and provides a cleaner environment — essential for a port that is proud of its location and Blue Flag status.

Collaboration & expertise

Seijsener carried out this project with an eye for quality, planning and engagement. Our approach ensured a careful inventory, clear communication, planning with an eye for minimal inconvenience to the residents of the residential parks and a guarantee of professional execution — all in accordance with standards and regulations.

Conclusion

The technical upgrade of De Uitkijk is a good example of how Seijsener approaches complex assignments: with attention to detail, safe and sustainable solutions, resulting in a port and living environment that is ready for the future.

If you look out over the water from the jetty at De Uitkijk, you now see not only the boats and the puddles, but also the silent power of modern technology.
