In 1959, Gré and Cees Seijsener built a touring caravan in their small shed in the Luiksestraat in Zaandam. This pleased them so much that in 1963 they decided to set up an electrical company called Seijsener Elektrotechniek. The first orders quickly came in and, together with Camping de Egmonden, they developed a shower coin machine. This was the start of rapid growth.
In 1968, the company burst at the seams of Gré and Cees's home and moved to a larger 300 m² building. Four years later, this building was also too small, and the company moved to a 2000 m² building on the Achtersluispolder. Here, Seijsener transformed from a family business into an established name in the Netherlands.
Not only did the name of Seijsener Elektrotechniek change to Seijsener Rekreatietechniek BV, but the cooperation with recreation companies also became closer. Seijsener not only offers advice, but also the production, installation and management of recreational technology. It became clear that entrepreneurs enjoy having a partner who assists them in all aspects of entrepreneurship in the recreation industry.
Seijsener is now active throughout Europe with offices in Belgium, Denmark, France and Germany. Our knowledge is very broad and we have specialists in every field. Nevertheless, we remain true to Gré and Cees Seijsener's vision: “Seijsener - Clever thought, well executed.”
